![]() What Does it Feel Like? It feels like a gel-cream moisturizer and it’s light, smooth and fluffy to the touch. Now to the important stuff! Here’s some of my thoughts on this product: It was a hard Olay product to find though in my surrounding Sugar Land areas and had to drive an hour into the Woodlands to get it at a Walgreens (This was a little more than a month ago so maybe it’s available now). In my late twenties I’ve noticed a lack of glow or brightness in my skin so I’m constantly looking for products that say radiance, brightness, and luminous and this Olay Overnight Mask caught my eye ever since I spotted it in my Allure magazine and promised all of the above! The cool thing is I’ve seen sleeping masks at Sephora, CVS and Walgreens for different needs like brightness, clear skin, aging skin so there’s one for every person and need. I had never used an Olay Regenerist product but am definitely open to trying more of them after testing their overnight mask and loving how their luxurious packaging looks on my sink. I’ve had some disastrous encounters with some sleeping masks that I won’t talk about because it’s not my style but I’ll you about the Olay Regenerist Luminous Overnight Mask and why I love it over other ones I’ve tried. And I wasn't even wearing any of my highlighters or my many tubes of Touche Éclats. All these sleeping masks left and right have me thinking about our constant desire to look different from “day to night.” Now, we all know it’s almost impossible to see a noticeable difference from a 10 minute mask or an overnight sleeping mask because usually results happen from multiple uses. Not one, but two people actually told me I was glowing in the same night. Still, after about a week of using the cream, I got compliments on my skin. It's been three weeks now and I'm still waiting for the sunspots on my cheekbones to fade - I've noticed a slight difference, but they're tricky to treat and definitely still around. And I wore it occasionally at night it's got a sweet, somewhat chemically scent that I could notice as I was drifting off to sleep. I used it in the morning under sunscreen, since it doesn't have its own SPF, but is light enough to layer (and has antioxidants like vitamin E). ![]() (It's also got antioxidant niacinamide to calm redness over time and amino peptides for sun spots, which are pluses for me.) We decided this cream was a keeper, but the instant brightening effects weren't as obvious on her deeper, olive skin tone. But she perked up when she saw my skin get brighter and more even in front of our eyes, like a mini magic act. I thought maybe the whole brighter skin thing was in my mind, so I brought my pot into the office, and put the moisturizer on the back of one hand in front a colleague, which I can only imagine was super fun for her. Because when I put on the cream, it was actually able to brighten up my fair skin without any of the shimmer or glitter some other luminizing creams rely on. The next thing I noticed was the color of the cream. When I took my new jar out of the box, the first thing I noticed was that it felt heavy and luxe in my hand (surprising for a drugstore product). Trying out Olay Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream was right up my alley. It explains why my bathroom is stocked with rich creams, hydrating masks, sheet masks, face oils, shimmery highlighters, cream blushes, and tubes of Touche Éclat. Luminous, dewy, glowy - these are all words I would very much like to associate with my own skin.
